Research Specialist
Julie Davis is a research specialist at the Texas A&M Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Evidence Center. She received her BS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her MS in Lifestyle Health Sciences and Coaching from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. Julie is also a certified health and wellness coach and certified in plant-based nutrition through the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
Julie has experience working as a systems engineer in the aerospace industry before taking a leave of absence to parent full-time. During that time, she became an accredited peer breastfeeding counselor with La Leche League International, which sparked a passion in learning about nutrition through the lifecycle. Her main interest is the effect of plant-based dietary patterns on human and environmental health.
