Arin Balalian, DrPH, MD, MPH

Arin Balalian is an experienced epidemiologist and systematic review specialist with over a decade of research experience. Holding a doctoral degree in Epidemiology from Columbia University and General Medicine degree from Yerevan State Medical University, he has made significant contributions to the fields of public health and medical research. His expertise lies in conducting observational research studies, implementing advanced epidemiological methods and meticulously assessing the quality of existing research. Arin has numerous scientific presentations and publications, including systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses.

Arin’s practical experience includes public health interventions evaluation, where he played a pivotal role in evaluating an electronic health records-based referrals program to early intervention program in the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. He possesses a remarkable ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences, including government agencies. As an educator, he has mentored junior colleagues in systematic review processes and data validation. Arin’s extensive body of work, focusing on environmental exposures like endocrine disrupting chemicals and air pollutants, as well as lifestyle factors such as opioid use, has been published in prestigious scientific journals. This research has significantly contributed to our understanding of critical public health issues in these specific domains.
