Rupal Trivedi, PhD, RDN

Rupal Trivedi, PhD, RDN, is an associate research scientist at the Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition Evidence Center, where she leads and supports evidence synthesis projects through data collection and analysis, quality and certainty of evidence assessments, manuscript development, and advancement of process improvements. An experienced researcher and clinician in the nutrition field, Trivedi has expertise in applying evidence synthesis methodology to various public health topics, conducting and managing clinical feeding trials, and nutritional management of chronic diseases.

Prior to her role at the Evidence Center, Trivedi served as a clinical dietitian, counseling patients on chronic disease self-management strategies as a part of medical nutrition therapy. Later, her research focused on implementation science approaches to cardiovascular disease management among adults in the Southern U.S. This included developing protocols for, conducting, and analyzing results for qualitative, non-randomized intervention, and systematic review and meta-analysis studies. She has experience leading teams of researchers to successfully complete studies, and her research findings have been published in high-impact journals and presented at prestigious conferences. She remains passionate about advancing nutrition research that can impact policies and evidence-based guidelines to promote public health and improve patient care.

Trivedi earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Health Services, Outcomes and Policy from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Ball State University. Trivedi is a registered dietitian nutritionist.
