Project Description: The Evidence Center is conducting systematic reviews to assess relationships between participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and food insecurity, diet quality, and various diet-related health outcomes. These reviews are intended to provide state-of-the-evidence assessments related to SNAP with the potential to inform decision-makers. Topics include relationships between SNAP participation and individual and household food insecurity, Healthy Eating Index scores, and prevalence and risk of obesity, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.
