Overview

Evidence synthesis encompasses a family of research approaches that systematically compile and draw meaning from bodies of scientific evidence. These approaches are widely used to inform research, policies, programs, and regulations – but selecting the right evidence synthesis method to meet a specific need requires a clear understanding of the available approaches.

This webinar explores evidence synthesis through a practical lens, comparing key evidence synthesis approaches, including different types of systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and gap maps. Throughout the webinar, we use clear explanations and real-world examples to show how evidence synthesis approaches differ in purpose, scope, and method.

Webinar attendees leave with a stronger understanding of what each evidence synthesis approach is designed to deliver, and the insight needed to determine which approach is best suited to their needs.
