Systematic Review Analyst

Cassi Uffelman, Ph.D., is a nutrition scientist who has experience investigating how the consumption of different foods and dietary patterns influence risk factors for cardiometabolic diseases. During her doctoral training, she gained experience ranging from targeted and untargeted metabolomics, to designing and conducting acute and chronic randomized controlled trials, and systematic review methodology.
Prior to her time at the Evidence Center, she was a nutrition scientist at Biofortis Research where she conducted evidence-based literature reviews for clients of the global food, beverage, and dietary supplement industries. She also developed proposals and protocols for human nutrition clinical trials.
She earned a dual BS in Dietetics and Nutrition, Fitness, and Health, and a Ph.D. in Nutrition Science from Purdue University.
